Obituary of Jack Brower

Brower, Jack of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, July 31, 2023 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Barb Brower. Loving father of Jackie Brower, Teresa Blok and Bonnie Walter all of Goderich and step-father of Dean Bates(Michele) of London, Dann Bates(Michele) of London and Dave Bates(Susan) of Georgetown. Brother of Ruby Dykxhoorn(Jack), Ron Brower(Marlene) and Linda Underhill(Butch). Predeceased by his brother Bob Brower. He will be missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Eden, Ontario on October 18, 1937, son of the late Cornelius and Dina Brower. Jack was a hardworking and dedicated farmer and grew his first tobacco crop at the age of 19. Jack found great joy in flying his airplane, combining the crops and spending his days with his dog Blackie. He was a tobacco farmer and later owned and operated Future Farm Supply and Air Spray. Jack enjoyed time at the cottage at Lions Head. Barb and Jack moved to Aylmer in 2018 but continued to go back to the farm to check on the crops and visit his beloved cat, Puss. Looking back on a life well-lived, Jack took pride in the legacy he had built. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
