Obituary of Henry Penner

Henry Penner, of Aylmer passed away in Mexico City, Mexico on Tuesday June 20, 2023, in his 76^th year. Beloved husband of Gertrude (Harder) Penner. Dear father of Henry (Nancy) Penner, Pete (Sarah) Penner, Jake (Martha) Penner, John (Tina) Penner, Trudy (Dave) Bergen, Susan (Joe) Blatz, Isaak (Eva) Penner, Willy (Helen) Penner, Lisa (Isaak) Dyck and Dave (Eva) Penner. Grandfather to 60 grandchildren and great-grandfather 5 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind 1 brother and 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.  Predeceased by 2 sons and 1 daughter, his father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Born in Durango, Mexico on January 14, 1948, to his parents Henry and Susan (Enns) Penner. Married his beloved wife Gertrude on January 18, 1970. He loved to spend many hours in his woodworking shop and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday, July 9 from 2-4 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, Mount Salem on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. Burial at St. Luke's Cemetery, Vienna.
