Obituary of Jimmy Allen

Allen, Jimmy of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in his 83^rd year. Beloved husband of Lynn (O'Shea) Grisenthwaite. Dear father of the late Michelle Boutilier(2011). Step-father of Steve Grisenthwaite(Victoria) and Kristen Grisenthwaite. Loving grandfather of Brett, Brennan, Brodie(Tara), Zack(Cassidy), Braydon(Taylor), Madi(Emily) and Kelsey. Dear brother of Ron Allen(Yvonne).  He will be missed by his former wife Arlene Allen(Larry Buck) and a number of nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his brothers George and Don Allen. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on August 16, 1940 son of the late John and Sally(MacIntyre) Allen. Jim served with NATO in Egypt and Germany. Later, he was a well-respected police officer for the Town of Aylmer for many years. He enjoyed cruising the roads in his 1960 Corvette. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.
