Bud and I send our sincere sympathy and deepest condolences to Karen and the family. We sadly regret the fact that we did not get to know Rick as much as we would have liked. We so appreciated how warmly he welcomed our son, Dan, into the Krygsman family. He and Karen certainly brought up a lovely and kind daughter, Ange, who we are so happy to have in our family. In my four decades within the electrical business Rick carried all the attributes of a really good person to his professional life. Over the years I had the pleasure of working with him from the field level and continuing as he grew his career ultimately to being the President of Pro Electric. I have always viewed his conducted within our field as the gold standard to achieve. I will miss Rick not only as a person but as that Icon to look up to.

Rick will be sorely missed by many including those in the construction industry. He volunteered countless hours to help improve construction in the area. He was a class person. Rick was the president of the LDCA prior to me taking on that role and he laid a solid foundation for me to follow in his footsteps. We had some fun together during construction curling bonspiels. I have many happy memories of time spent with Rick. To the family of Rick, and fellow workers at Pro Electric, we send our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. From Brian Hayman

On behalf of myself, the staff and present and past Directors, and members of the LDCA, we collectively give our best wishes and condolences to Rick's family. Rick was a valued member of our industry, who demonstrated all the best of what we all strive to be in business, fair, honest, entrepreneurial, hard-working, who carried himself with integrity, and had a good time doing it. He was a long-time Director of the LDCA and our President in 2018-2019. He was our industry's inaugural Industry Person of the Year in 2020 (a very fitting honour). Rick made and left the industry a better place. Rick was a dedicated family man, who often spoke lovingly of his wife, children and grandkids. We often shared grandkid stories. On a personal note, I am quite saddened by his death. Rick was a friend, and we chatted often during his fight with cancer, he maintained his optimism, his laughter (and the glint in his eye) even during my last conversation with him.
