The family of Dorothy Toth with sadness, but gratitude for along life well lived, announce her death on April 22, 2023, three days afterher 91st birthday. She is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years, Louis,and their children, Mike Toth and his wife Michele; Cyndy Difazio and herhusband Tony; Paul Toth and his wife Jeneen and by her son-in-law SteveLaemers and his wife Betty. She had many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Virginia Laemers and her sons Cole and Conner; Dave andLindsay Laemers and their daughters Claire and Audrey; Kyle and LeslieDifazio and their son Brooks; Andrew and Marissa Difazio and their sonsCalder and Landon; Alex Toth and Zahra Elahipour; Julie Toth and Max Mak;Jill Toth; Luc Toth.
She was pre-deceased by her parents John and JuliannaMichiels, her brother Emile Michiels, her infant son Louis, herdaughter Theresa Laemers and her grandson Greg Laemers.
Louis and Dorothy were the owners and proprietors of PortBurwell Hardware for 25 years. After retirement in 1987, they built a houseon the lake in Port Burwell where their growing extended family would gatherfor holidays and summer fun. They were world travellers and had visitedevery continent.
The family wishes especially to thank Joselyn Appleford andall the visiting PSWs who have helped care for Mom and Dad over the past fewyears.
A private family burial service will be held on Friday, May 12. Later that day, everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life from2- 5 pm at the Aylmer Legion, 211 John St. North, Aylmer, Ontario.
