Obituary of Anny Moerman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anny Emma Marie Elza Moerman (nee Verstraeten) born August 15, 1939 in Ghent, Belgium. Anny is gone to be with so many she has loved, her husband Henri Moerman (1997), Robert Greenside (2012) and especially her mom Elza, who passed when she was only three years old.

Anny worked hard and loved her family harder. Anny worked for many farms in Tobacco Country from Langton to Aylmer and also for Imperial Leaf Tobacco for 38 years.

Anny and Harry had one son, Larry Moerman, who they were devoted to whether it was all the sporting events to all the family vacations they went on. They thoroughly loved attending those events. Anny and Harry also loved visiting family and friends and always up for a round of cards. Anny and Robert carried on this tradition and took their eldest grandchildren for many trips which they so fondly remember.

Anny is survived by her cherished son, Larry Moerman, his wife Heather and grandchildren, Jaa-Dee (Samantha), Tasha (Brad) and Lauren. Her great grandchildren were always on her mind, and she loved seeing what amazing people all of her grandchildren have become and are becoming. Degan, Aubree, Domenic and Autumn will have memories and their parents’ memories to remember a devoted GMA.

We are grateful Anny can join the many people she loved and lost and is no longer suffering. We are so sad for losing her and her funny idiosyncrasies and fierce love for us all. Onwards and upwards Anny you deserve your rest. Much love.

The funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery. Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
