My Angel,
As we grow up from our childhood years and throughout our lives, most everyone has that one person, a person that no matter how you felt could make you smile. Who have the ability to warm your heart with one look. A person who would always do a little bit extra, go miles out of their way to make you feel special, shower you with affection, warm words and of course the coolest most thoughtful best gifts ever!! They alway know what to say and when to say it. Even if it happened to be a "wise crack" Be it a family member close friend or, a neighbor. Whomever they are to us they are our angels. Debbie is just that. She has always been my angel.
I have so many fond memories with my aunt Debbie.
"Officially" on our way to visit our grandparents for the weekend. I remember that extremely long drive to the ranch style farm house my grandfather had built. From St Thomas to almost Lyons which seemed to last forever. It felt like hours infact. Why and how can such a short drive seem like forever? Well let me tell you why, not only was it my grandparents house, but if that wasn't reason enough to make every second of the trip feel like an eternity. That house also contained the coolest room on the planet!! That room belonged to my aunt Debbie. Again i will say it as my sister and I were on the way to see our grandparents who spoiled us rotten. I secretly or perhaps it wasnt a secret, it was probably obvious to everyone. Either way I couldn't wait to see aunt Debbie. Although I have loads great memories in that house on Elgin Rd. 48. Countless hours were spent in aunt Debbies room. Playing video games, listening to music, messing up her room, rubix cube puzzles, admiring all her collectables and stuffed animals, her aquariums and fish. And of course the private stash of goodies she would pull out from under her bed, numerous stories and story books, colouring books, naps together. She made me my first mix tape. Believe it or not it was micheal jackson beat it side A and funky favorites side B yes funky favorites containing songs like, the monster mash and purple people eater. Almost everytime she walked through the door she had something for my sister and I. Be it O-PeeChee hockey cards, cool new gadgets and toys, bubble gum, suckers, or oh yeah a bag of cracker jacks, followed by one of her "bear" hugs. She gave the best hugs. I still remember the first visit when grandma said aunt Deb moved out... I have to admit I was quite deflated.
And then there was Christmas time. She ALWAYS came through BIGTIME! GIJoes, Nintendo games. You know, the cool stuff only Santa brought limited quantities of.
She was the best. She is the best. I have no memory growing up and in all my life with my aunt Debbie when it wasn't fun. Where I wasn't smiling or laughing, where she didn't make me feel special. From sleepovers, fishing trips to family functions. She shaped everything into good times. Some of my best memories.
We have all heard the expression having a heart of gold, in my dictionary, my aunt Deb is the definition. She put everyone else's needs before her own. Patient, compassionate and selfless. Helping people in need and making others feel good gave her gratification. That in my eyes makes someone an angel. She is my hero and my angel, she always has been my angel growing up, and will continue to be my angel until I am gone.
I don't know very many people like her. If any of you reading this have an angel in your life, let them know what they mean to you, let them know how they make you feel. Let them know how much you love them.
I miss you alot aunt Deb
I love you even more.
Rest easy, thank you for being you.
My hero

Deb brought great laughter to our home as she cleaned and as our friend. Our cat Cash loved to steal her cleaning clothes and engage in a chase. Our cat Selena loved to climb in her cleaning bag for a nap and play high 5 with her. I will miss our texts, online computer games late night calls and Deb's support. Rest in peace special lady. With much love Marg & Larry Morrison
