Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear Mother and Grandmother. She was a true "Down Easter" who stayed true to her roots. My mother(Emmy MacDonald) delighted in their phone calls as it was like a big hug from home. They loved to tell each other stories from their youth and their families and both had a wonderful sense of humour. Truly a life well lived.

Dear Cathy and Sharon, It saddens Tom and me to learn of the passing of your mother, a dear dear friend of 60 years or more. Catto was one of a kind whose warmth, generosity and good cheer wherever she went, raised the spirits of those present.
Tom and I feel privileged to have known Catto and Jack as very dear friends.
Our sincere condolences

To my special lady from the east coast, you will be dearly missed. You will hold a special place in my heart. I looked forward to saying good morning and good night with a kiss. I loved caring for you for 7 years, even though you were in pain you always had time for concern for others. You had a beautiful family and a big heart. Well my angel you finally got your wings and no more pain. I’m sure your husband met you at the gates . All my love

And so, she is no longer with us except for her spirit which will live on for all of us for the rest of our days. She seemed a blithe spirit yet I'm sure there were times when she had unspoken difficulties. But we only remember her as loving and joyful - with laughter that was a trait known to all who knew her. Her life's influence will be retold many times in many ways to the generations who follow.
Rest in peace, Aunt Catto. You have meant so much to us. Your place in our hearts will be everlasting.
