Obituary of John Coghill
Coghill, John Arthur of London and formerly of Springfield passed away at Extendicare, London on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Joyce Coghill(Sears). Dear father of Michael Coghill(Carola) of New York, Cheryl Huis(Brian) of Muirkirk, John Coghill(Teri) of Kitchener and David Coghill of London. Loving grandfather of Rachael, Naomi, Nichole, Cayleigh, John Jr., Renée, Wyatt, Reta and Lyndley. Great-grandfather of River, Hunter, Maisie, Addie and Nash. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Aline, Margaret, Agnes, Sheila and Marilyn. Born in Kingsville, Ontario on September 2, 1930, son of the late John and Isobel(MacDonald) Coghill. John taught at Fanshawe College for 30 years. He was involved in Kiwanis London and published a book of poetry through the International Society of Poets. Additionally, he was a long time member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at a later date. Donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
