That smile is exactly how I remember Tim. I worked with Tim at Annandale. We solved many of the world's problems sitting at my desk after work. He was hard a working professional with a great sense of humour but I mostly remember him for his love of family. He was so proud of his boys. My sincere condolences.

Tim worked with me as Vice-principal at Annandale School in Tillsonburg. He was a very hard worker who had a great sense of humour. I have many fond memories of him working so hard to make the school "shine in success". I lost contact when I retired in 1999 but I was updated by a fellow teacher who kept in contact. He was a gem!

Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. Tim and I were both teachers and school administrators over time. I deeply appreciated Tim serving as a knowledgeable and supportive mentor and great friend over the years. His sense of humor was delightful and greatly appreciated whenever I consulted with him regarding a challenging issue that seemed to darken my day as a school principal. He was always there to support and offer the right advice. I will always cherish the Pittsburgh Steelers hat presented to me by Tim. He was a man of substance and deep integrity. He will be missed.
Sincerely,
Paul Cordick

I’ve known Tim since my elementary school days, when he taught me in Grade 3. He shared his love of football, and was always energetic and fun. After moving away and coming back, we connected a few times, always able to share football stories and a mutual love of the Steelers.
He will be missed, and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and everyone affected by this loss.

It was this time of the year and Tim came to our farm to get apples. He was going to teach his class how to dry apples and make dolls out of them. He was so interesting, then when I found out who he was related to...wow. He came back to get apples for his family and brought me one of his apple dolls. I wish I had taken a picture or been able to keep it longer. You certainly made my apple harvest special for me. Thanks Tim

I am so very sorry, my deepest condolences to the Hill family. Tim was my first Principal. He took a chance on a new teacher, already in my 3rd career. This came at a time when my family was struggling financially, quiting work and going to school full time was tough on my wife and children. Tim was the catalyst for many great things to come. While i could go on with many a story, I will stop and say that he has always had a place in my heart. Again, I am so sorry.

Dear Janice , Chris and Matt
We are so saddened to hear of Tim’s passing . His presence in a room was undeniable with his loud voice , quick wit and sense of humour . But he was also a big teddy bear , bending an ear to the most troubled students and always volunteering to be the dad who would pick up the kids after a party making sure they got home safely . Lots of good memories of our kids and sharing dinners together.

I worked with Tim briefly at Balaclava when I first started out with The Board. He was the first principal I worked with. What a great man. We shared many laughs as I learned the ropes of my new job. One of my favourite memories was when I had just finished training the intermediate student volunteers as recess activity leaders. I sent them packing just before recess with their whistles. That was all you heard throughout the recess period. I was mortified. Tim though it was terrific. He said he felt like he was in the middle of Mardi Gras and was loving the celebration. He loved to tease and had a great sense of humour. With challenging situations he would often say, “Okay Shook, how are you going to handle this?” He had every faith in me and my skills. I am so pleased that I got the honour to work with him. Sending deepest condolences to his family. May his memory live on in the legacy of love he has left with you all. God bless.

I am so terribly saddened to hear this news. I first met Mr Hill as a student at South Dorchester. Years later Tim hired me for a teaching position at Straffordville. Tim was a great boss, who believed in me as a young teacher and taught me so much. I will always remember the day a grade 2 student brought his father’s unopened beer to school. Tim was quick to whisk it away and I’m pretty sure he enjoyed it in his office. He had a great sense of humour. I had an old rocking chair in my classroom and Tim loved to come rock and chat and share stories about his family. Tim had things figured out. Work was important but definitely not more important than family (such a great lesson to share with a young teacher) and he knew the best places to work are filled with laughter and BBQ’s. I enjoyed my time working with Tim and he is definitely my favourite principal. He knew when to jump into help (he always had our backs) and when to give us space to learn and grow. He loved his family dearly and he spoke of his lovely wife and sons often. I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to the family. Tim will be missed greatly.

Janice, Chris and Matthew. I worked with your husband/ dad at Balaclava years ago. He was a wonderful, kind soul who always made me laugh. But the one thing that always made me enjoy time spent with him was the many photos he had of each of you in his office and the stories he shared of how much he loved his life with each of you. Sending you much love through this difficult time.
