Obituary of Doris Pressey
Pressey, Doris of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, August 19, 2022 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Allan Pressey(2011). Dear mother of Alana Rice(Ken) of St. Thomas and the late Randy Pressey(April 2, 2022) and mother-in-law of Debbie Pressey of Vittoria. Loved by her grandchildren Kevin Pressey, David Pressey(Kristin), and Cheryl Creighton(Drew). Great-grandmother of Austin, Trinity, Ethan, Nick, Josh, Mason, and Olivia. Predeceased by her siblings Willard Shackleton, Murray, Hugh, Mildred Marr, Vera Buck, and Lulu Parker. Born in Malahide Township, Ontario on May 15, 1931, daughter of the late Clarence and Alice(Winters) Shackleton. Doris and Allan loved going to dances with their friends. They owned and operated a dairy farm east of Summers Corners, before moving into town in 1975. She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church. Doris was proud that she could stay in her own home for all these years. She enjoyed baking, especially pies. A private family funeral service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home.
