Obituary of Larry Walker

Walker, Larry Evan of Carrollton, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Judy (Rich) Walker. Dear father of Laurie Bearss (Mike), Julie Tanguay (Rob), Wendie Hibbert (Steve), Jeff Woodlee (Kathy) and Ben Woodlee (Stephanie). Loving grandfather of Jeremy (Liz), Jennifer (Steve), Stevie, Jesse (Miranda), Bailey, Sean (Sarah), Casie (Brent), Aaron, Cory (Jessica), Nicole, Paul (Victoria), Brandy (Cody), Preston, Honey and several great grandchildren. Brother to Sharon Harris (John), sister-in-law Sandy Blue (Jack) and many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Jean Walker (Eric). Predeceased by his parents Lola Walker (1980) and Evan Walker (1983) and brother and sister-in-law Ted Walker (2002) and Mona (2015). Dad spent his retirement years travelling North America and making trips home to Ontario to spend time with all of us. We had Christmas in July for many years until his health would not allow him to make the drive. When asked what is most favourite thing to do, his response was “drive truck”. He was a great teacher and passed on his passion for trucking to us girls, who remain in the trucking industry today.  Dad was a gifted athlete and an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Cowboys and Rangers. Dad loved everything automotive, he was always sending articles he thought we’d be interested in, he stayed in tune with pop culture and politics, being a quiet and humble man, he kept his opinions to himself. He had a love for music, dance and talk radio. He will be greatly missed; he was a quiet but forceful presence in our lives. Dad will be brought home to Aylmer to rest with a private family ceremony at a later date. Donations to the Parkinson Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
