Obituary of Charles Smith

Smith, Peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 13, 2006. Charles Morrison Smith of Springfield in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Marguerite (Killough) Smith and the late Mary Jean (Howe) Smith(1987). Dear father of Wendy Dermo and husband Kevin of Springfield and loving grandfather of Carley, Michael, Jessica, Kalley and Ryan. Also survived by a sister Shirley Shackelton and husband Carmen and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brothers Blake and Donald Smith and sisters Annie Weaver and Jean Ostrosser. Born in South Dorchester Twp. on April 12, 1926 son of the late Charles Wellington and Mary Robena (Sawyer) Smith. He served in WW II from 1944-46 and was a member of Col. Talbot Branch#81 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Springfield Cemetery.
