Gone far too soon. Roger was one of those guys that as soon as you saw him, you couldn't help but smile and feel better. Saw him at changeovers but never had a chance to work a shift with him. His presence will be forever missed. We’ll take it from here brother! Rest easy

I considered Rodge a very good friend. I first met Rodge when he began as a firefighter in Guelph 20 years ago. He was stationed with me and boy did we laugh and get to know each other. He met my family and he was always one of the “boys” they remember. I appreciate the time we spent working along side each other at the hall, and on some construction sites. I miss you Rodge! RIP.

The world needs good people, especially these days. Unfortunately, it has lost one of its finest. I have known Rodger for many years as he was a neighbour of mine, plus he also did some renovations at my house. Being the jovial person that he was, I always enjoyed our conversations together. Your time came far too soon, my friend. Rest in piece, Rodger. My condolences to the families.

My sincere condolences to your entire family!
Rodger was a brother, and a good friend. We spent several years stationed together at the GFD. We always had a good discussions about calls, and ways to tackle an issue, or just enjoyed discussing our kids and their sports and interests. Rodge was always there to help anyone out. He helped me with some renovations my old house, and I always loved that 'gimme a minute and let me think', as he fired up a smoke. He always did his best thinking, with that cigarette (way back when). He was excited for his venture up North, as we had several talks about the area where I grew up, and gave him some insight into the area.
Such a kind and thoughtful person. I will miss his friendship.
Thoughts out to family, friends, and co-workers!
Rest easy brother, we'll take it from here.
