Obituary of Peter Giesbrecht

Giesbrecht, Peter of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was 71 years old. Beloved husband of Susanna (Guenther) Giesbrecht. Dear father of Ben Giesbrecht(Mary) of Copenhahen, Jake Giesbrecht(Tina) of Luton, Abe Giesbrecht(Jodi) of London, Justina Giesbrecht of St. Thomas and Lisa Giesbrecht(Peter) of Straffordville. Brother of Anna Fehr(Jacob), Gerhord Giesbrecht(Agatha), David Giesbrecht(Sara), Johann Giesbrecht (Katharina), Eva Rempel(Jacob), Jacob Giesbrecht(Helena), Abram Giesbrecht (Maria), Sara Braun, Helena Wiebe (Franz).  Predeceased by his siblings  Katharina Rempel, Benhord Giesbrecht, Helena Giesbrecht, Aganetha Wall and Gerhord Giesbrecht. He will be missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Born in Chihuahua Mexico on September 16, 1950 son of the late Jacob and Helena (Dyck) Giesbrecht. Peter worked for Peters Paving for many years. He had a keen eye for photography, especially birds and nature. The Funeral Was held at the Old Colony Mennonite Church on Saturday.
