Obituary of Ethel Shackelton

Shackelton, Ethel passed away peacefully at home in Belmont on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was 81 years old. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Shackelton(2011). Dear mother of Gordon Shackelton and Dan Shackelton. Predeceased by her brother Harley Knott(2017). She will be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Ethel was a very proud, determined, hard working woman. She took pride in her independence. She loved music and playing the piano with her friends. Ethel enjoyed sewing and quilting. She took great pride in giving her friends a quilt.  A Celebration of Ethel's Life will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation prior to the funeral starting at noon. Please call the funeral home at 519-773-8400 between 9am-5pm to register for the visitation or the funeral; COVID RULES WILL APPLY. The service will also be available to watch through livestream and a link will be posted on the funeral home website. Interment will follow at Dorchester-Union Cemetery.
