Dorothy and Family,
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Ray/dad.
He was kind, thoughtful ,generous and never judgemental. Ray and an contagious laugh and a great sense of humor.
We always look forward to our visits to you all.
I am less saddened in thoughts of Ray in heaven playing cribbage with a friend and discussing cars. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.
Love,
Patti

There are no words, or at least any words that could make any sense of this. How can it be that the man I spoke with just weeks ago, so concerned about the love of his life and how to support her in her own time of need, is now gone? All of us are struggling with that and the words are hard to find.
I first met Ray 20 years ago and since then Michelle and I have shared weddings, births, Christmas and summer gatherings and more together, plus too many cars to remember that he and Ryan built for us. I loved stopping in to his shop while I was working, talking cars and policing and family stuff. He and Dorothy and whatever kids were there made me feel like part of the family. Just being there to experience his every-changing, sometimes chaotic and always really interesting life made my life, and Michelle's, that much better. I am happy that we got to share even a small part of who he was and we will miss Ray dearly. Ray Pichette was as much a big brother to me as he was a true friend, something that is hard to develop later in life, unless you meet someone like him. Ray was talented in so many ways, with his music and businesses for sure but what really stood out to all who knew him was the absolute love and dedication Ray had for Dorothy, his children, grandchildren and to his church and his God. To say his passing so suddenly and at such a young age is difficult to cope with would be an understatement, but we are so happy for the time God allowed us to be friends and look forward to seeing him again. Thank you for who you were to so many of us my friend.
Our love to Dorothy, Jen, Jill, Joy, Ryan and all of the rest of the family. Ray's friendship was a cherished gift that will never be forgotten.

I am still in shock at the news of Ray's death but be assured that my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. I will remember the effort that Ray put into his music. It was a gift to all who heard him play. I will remember the effort Ray made to help our youth in Aylmer to grow in a personal relationship with the Lord. He did the same in all places where he used the gifts the Lord had entrusted to him. Dorothy, you supported Ray no matter where he wanted to use his gifts. That is a testament to the love and faithfulness you both shared. Thanks to Ray for all his help in providing cars for me. He was such a good mechanic. I am praying for you and your family. Look to Him who is our hope and our joy. Blessings.

Our deepest condolences to the Pichette family for the loss of Ray. We also feel the loss, of his sincerity in wanting to build the faith of the youth of St Mary's school in Hagersille, by involving them with music in the youth choir at St. Mary's church. We especially felt his absence during this Christmas season.

Ray worked on our 1926 Peerless Car in 1974. With the exception of a few spots the work done has lasted. I sold the car May 27, 2021. When I washed the car, I often thought of Ray and wondered where he had gone.
