Obituary of Mary Debrabandere

Debrabandere, Mary of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Andre Debrabandere. Dear mother of Glen Debrabandere (Annette) of Aylmer and Grace Debrabandere (Jim) of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of Joel (Amanda) and Rachel. Sister of Jerome, Frans and Luc Donck. Sister-in-law of Magda, Jean and Lillian Donck, Noel (Anna), Marie-Therese (Paul-deceased), Marie-Jose (Lucien), Marie-Gisele (Guido), and Marie-Rose (Frans) Debrabandere. Predeceased by brothers Antoon, Albert and Micheal Donck, brother-in-law Robert Debrabandere (Godelieve-living) and sister-in-law Marie-Joseph (Robert-living) Debrabandere. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Leper, Belgium on October 20th, 1939, daughter of the late Maurice and Alice Donck.

The Debrabanderes' are very much a farming family and Mary, a strong partner alongside Andre. She was a proud business woman with ‘Mary’s Veggy House’ on Imperial Road. She and Andre were snowbirds who wintered in Daytona Beach, Florida, attending the Daytona 500 NASCAR race year after year.
