It's taken far too long to get to this, as would be understandable in lieu of addressing the many arduous tasks as related to the unexpected passing on my big sister that happened to also be my bestest friend in the world and THE mentor for all my creative endeavours.
Her absence is so missed and noted greatly over this holiday season that was Zaza's favourite holiday for the snow, cold and darker skies. However, my sister was full of so much light and in contacting the many that she knew whether those that did deliveries, pharmacists, care aids, etc they ALL said she was always so kind, giving and friendly. I'm of course not at all surprised by the effect she had on so many., both in St.Thomas & back in Vancouver BC.
The connection that my sister and I had with each other was unlike many sibling relationships, of which we were always so very proud to share. Yes, we had tumultuous periods but our love and respect for each other permitted us to more readily work at resolving them. Thankfully she now is in heaven, with her baby Adam, her partner Ross & her cats and suffering no more.

Although it's been many years, she's never left my heart. Nor my daughters, either. Everyone should have a Sharon in their lives. To me, she'll still be out there, somewhere. I treasure my memories.

Where do I even as start. From when I was young and couldn't say Sharon and it came out Shirsh to always saying sister/sister or even just calling you face I have loved you. We had our bouts of difficult times as most families do but we also knew how much we loved each other. I truly wish our story had been longer but I now take comfort knowing your Adam is in your loving arms and your heart can now heal. I'm so glad you got to meet my Ang and called her your rockabilly baby I'm sure you and her would have made so many memories together and you truly touched her heart. You were taken far too soon but knowing you are no longer in pain will bring peace to David and I as well as your friends. RIP face gone but never forgotten. Love your little sister ❤️

Zaza's voice will carry on in whispers through my entire being. She graciously became my Fairy God Mother and encouraged me to discover my Nature.
I found neverending delight in sharing a moment amongst such a grand character who was a living portrait of individualism from head to toe.. I'm blowing you a kiss my lovely Zaza- I knew I loved you from the moment we met my friend. Your legendary memory will remain forever painted on our hearts.

My forever friend. I’m still in a state of disbelief, as anyone who knew Sharon is undoubtedly feeling a deep sorrow right now. She had such a big heart & love of all living things. She had a special way of making one feel so important & precious.
We had a 37yr friendship most from afar but that didn’t diminish our connection as we spoke at least once a week which I will miss immensely. She shared her troubles though wanted to talk more about new painting ideas or new songs written & new friends she was making. I know you all because she included me in her life & I in hers.
The last few years were rather tough & she suffered a great deal but thankfully friends there helped her cope & Vinnie probably most of all. I always called her a survivor that did it with grace, humor & super dignity. But now her suffering is over & I know her Adam is in her loving embrace. A special thank you to her brother David who has kept me sane & his super human abilities to sort through the complexities of this moment with a broken heart. Love, Janice.B

My Dear Zaza you will be greatly missed. I will always hold your artistic teachings close to my heart.Though our deep friendship was just over a year it will be cherished as if we had always known one another. Through covid and mental upset you gave me strength. You were the best confidante with a sweet soft heart that knew just what to say. Like my mom you were a kindred soul. You called me a hero once but know you will always be one off mine. "Sweet dreams" my friend (I trust the peace)...Love Natalie
