It takes a village to raise a child and Mary Ann was part of my village. A second mom. Rob went to school at Assumption while I attended McGregor and Davenport, our paths and friendship didn't begin until High School but it was immediate. Mary Ann was always welcoming and kind, caring for her two sons and her beloved Shih Tzu's, she always made time for me. She loved to hear what we were up to during those teenage years (some mischief) and that never ended. I moved away in my early 20's but every time I made it back home, we would visit Mary Ann and sit around the kitchen table catching up. She has a genuine love for people and they say that kindness is the highest form of intelligence, in which Mary Ann displayed at all times. Simply being in her presence I felt loved.
Words may not suffice to express the sorrow we feel right now, I believe in an eternal life, and although this time is rough we will meet again.
