Obituary of Calvin Grissom
Grissom, Calvin Rahe of Aylmer passed away peacefully at his residence with family by his side on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Mary(Salyi) Grissom. Dear father of Gary(Teresa), Kevin(Late Lois) and Brian(Theresa) and stepfather of Dawn Giesbrecht, Bill Watson and Liz Martens(David). Brother-in-law of Janet Grissom. He will be missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother David Grissom. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, USA on March 7, 1940, son of the late Evelyn(Oyler) and Wilmer Grissom. Calvin served in the US Army from 1962-1970. He was a crop duster and tool and die maker for General Motors. You could always get a smile and a story when you bought ice from Calvin. He loved to go down to the Corner View to meet friends and perform practical jokes in Port Bruce. Calvin was always there to lend a helping hand. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends and family who wish to attend the visitation on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 starting at 12:00 pm can call the funeral home at (519 773 8400) to register(masks required). The private family funeral will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Monday, May 31, 2021 at 1:00pm and will be available for livestream. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
