Edward Maciulis posted a condolence
Wednesday, March 3, 2021
Dear Dita and family,
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Ed. He was a quiet gentle man that I got to know for a few years when I was 19.
Myself, Adolf and Ed would practice soccer on the Aylmer High School field. After practice we would sit and wonder if we were good enough to play on a team. Some times we would drive to Long Point and go for a swim at the Provincial Park Beach and afterwards treat ourselves to some ice cream. Those were good times the three of us we worked hard for 6 days a week before the tobacco harvest for and 7 days usually during the harvest. I am glad I got to know Ed, I see he still had that easy smile into his old age.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Sleep well my friend.

The Bozso family will miss you dearly.
Ed was our families neighbour and close friend growing up. Morgan and I would go on endless swamp tours on his farm - passing through the ‘secret path’ behind his house to end our tour at Oma’s (Ed’s mom who lived next door to him), eating her freshly baked goodies. I have always and will forever cherish memories of Ed - when looking at the sky or the leaves on the trees to predict the weather, I hear him start the forecast with “Gods oh Gods....”. Or my all time favourite memory as a child was when his faithful dog Sam would get in the way - “God damn Sam!” - I always hid my giggles - I was convinced Sam did too.
Rest peacefully, you’ve worked hard (and save me some of Oma’s bake goods!)
Love,
Kristy Babb

Dear Dita, Tina, Edie, Werner and families,
Don and I wish to express our deepest condolences as you mourn losing Ed. Everyone who knew him will miss those twinkling eyes and the big, shy smile he was so quick to share. It's painful to read of his passing but at the same time, a relief to know that he is out of pain and reunited with the love of his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
