Obituary of Augusta Vandierendonck

Vandierendonck, Augusta Louise, of The Manor Village in London, Ontario and resident of Aylmer for many years passed away at her residence on January 11, 2021.
Beloved wife of 67 years to George Vandierendonck. Dear mother of Rosemary Vandierendonck, Mary Jane (Harry) Boersema, Terry (Jo-Anne) Vandierendonck, Nancy (Paul) Snyder, Patty Vandierendonck (Adriano Trinaistich) and Janet (Mike) Salter. Predeceased by her granddaughter Natasha Boersema. Loving Grandma of Kate Sparling, Laura (Jon) Brunskill, Cody Snyder (Deanna Simpson), Nicole Boersema, Ryan Snyder, Alex de Castro and Ashley Snyder. Great-Grandma of Miles and Reid Brunskill. Predeceased by her brother Julien Bossuyt. Survived by her brother Lucien Bossuyt.   Special aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. Missed by special relatives who still reside in Belgium.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on January 25, 1930, daughter to the late Rene Joseph and Maria (Dobbelaere) Bossuyt.
Augusta grew up in Tielt Belgium until her 19th year. She and her family immigrated to Canada in 1949 and settled in Aylmer, Ontario where she raised her family on the family tobacco farm south of Aylmer. Her Belgian heritage remained important to her throughout her life.,
She was a member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s League. She was a long time member of the Aylmer Garden Club, the Curling Club and Lawn Bowling. 
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends who wish to attend the visitation on Tuesday, January 12 starting at 1 p.m. at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home can call the funeral home at (519 773 8400) to register (masks required). A private family funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11:00 am. and will be available through livestream. Interment to follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
