Many fond family memories with my mom and Meredith. You could always count on him for a joke and a drink. He was a good man and he will be missed. Doug Cuddy

I’m sorry that I can’t be there to grieve with you. I have so many wonderful memories of Meredith to share. He was so good to my grandmother, treated her so well and gave her the best years of her life. He treated me well too, taking care of me and my siblings when my parents traveled, hosting me and my friends for college spring break in FL. He had so many great stories and jokes, and so many Meredith mannerisms! We traveled to England together and I still remember him putting a sign on the rear of the car, “Canadian Driver, Look out Mate!” It was necessary as he looped the round a-bouts one too many times.
He was a great man in my life, a grandfather figure, and I loved him very much. I’m so sad to learn of his passing. I know he is with my Grandmother now and she must be very happy to see him. Sending love to his family from the Cuddys.

Jeff, Kim, Sandra, Bill, Jean; my condolences. Meredith...
- I think of Steve McQueen and Donald Sutherland (I think his favourite stars).
- Fond memories of being invited to the Wallace family summer cottages on the Bruce Peninsula and Grand Bend.
- Being part of the family business and going into the market for celery and lettuce trimming marathons at Christmas. I still smell celery on my hands.
- I think he hired me at the market because Jeff couldn’t slug the celery crates by himself.
- I smile every time I see a gentleman wearing a cravat.
I’m sorry we can’t get together to celebrate his memory under the current circumstances.
RIP Peter E. Dietrich

Who could ever forget the "Mere". His dry sense of humour often was lost, but Mere was Mere: all was well. To think our generation has now been reduced to only three is very scary (especially now with COVID.)
Our deepest sympathy to his family.
Brian and David.
