Obituary of Mary Rommel

Rommel, Mary of Aylmer passed away at McCormick Home in London on Monday, November 16, 2020 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Rene Rommel(2008). Dear mother of Renee Rommel of Simcoe. Loving grandmother of Danielle(Scott) and Darcy(Steve). Proud great-grandmother of Everly and Paxton. Also survived by her brother Maurice Vandecasteele(Elaine) and a number of nieces and nephews.  Born in Belgium on April 27, 1929, daughter of the late Jerome and Lucy Vandecasteele. With her late husband Rene, she grew tobacco for many years south of Aylmer. Mary was a devoted member of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church and the Catholic Women's League. Private visitation at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends and family who wish to attend the Funeral Mass may call the funeral home at 519-773-8400 OR confirm attendance here.  (Masks are required). The funeral mass will be held at the Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, Aylmer on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1 pm. Cremation will follow. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
