Obituary of Ruth Learn
Learn, Ruth formerly of Aylmer passed away at Extendicare Port Stanley on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in her 82nd year. Dear sister of Donald Learn and wife Diana of Windsor. Predeceased by sisters Norma Jean Norton and Linda Learn. Also survived by 2 nieces, 3 nephews and one great nephew. Born in St. Thomas on February 26, 1939, daughter of the late Basil and Irene(Sears) Learn. Ruth had lived in the Aylmer area all her life. She had a heart of gold. From early childhood it was her winning smile that was the marker of her personality. Hers was a mission of service that reached out to her family, her friends and her Lord.
In her new home at Extendicare Port Stanley she found her most fulfilling years. The staff and guests gave wing to her finest gifts. The opportunity to use her talents in helping others gave us cause to refer to her as Our Fair Lady. In short order, she referred to it as home. A private funeral service will be held.
