He will be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: David (wife Linda; Alexander, Adriana), Chris (wife Steph; Isaac, Elsa, Anden, Edie), Joshua (wife Jenna), Laura (husband Derek; Annalise), Rachel, Andrew, Jacqueline (husband Travis; Clark, Clair), Jaime-lyn (husband Mijo; Oscar, Paisley), Allison, Lisa (husband Andrew; Joshua, Kate) and Richard. Also survived by his brother Adrian and sister Annie. He is predeceased by his son Jim (1996), Jim’s wife Diane (2002), and also by his brother Martin and sister Corrie.

Born in Axel, The Netherlands in 1929, Andy moved to Canada at the age of 18 and was a tobacco farmer. He was a faithful member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church and a long serving Board member of Immanuel Christian School.

Upon his retirement from farming, he enjoyed gardening, biking, playing Canasta, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and volunteering at the St Thomas Mission Thrift Store.

Special thanks to Oneida Long Term Care Facility for providing excellent care in the last 14 months of his life, and for setting up Zoom sessions during COVID-19 so that his family could talk with him.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends are encouraged to contact the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer (519-773-8400) for more information about visitation, which is set for Monday evening, July 6.

A private family funeral service will be held at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to the Immanuel Christian School or Oneida Long Term Care Facility would be appreciated. Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
