My deepest condolences, Tom, Lisa and Robert.
I shall always remember Sandy as a very special cousin who was super cool. Her love of animals, tame or wild, taught me that all life is precious. Being younger and living so far apart, I didn't get to see Sandy often, but enjoyed the times that I did. Two of my fondest memories are:
-Once, when I was about 6 years of age, I watched in awe as she climbed out onto a balcony to rescue a baby bird that had fallen from its nest. When one of the adults referred to Sandy as a "tomboy", I just knew that I wanted to become a "tomboy" too!
-One time, when I was a teenager, Sandy invited me ride one of her horses. The horse was not pleased, however, and immediately began to buck. Quickly, Sandy jumped off her horse and grabbed the reins of mine so that I could safely dismount. She then sprang up onto the saddle and rode my horse hard down the road. When they returned, my horse was as calm and gentle as a lamb, ready to welcome me as its rider.

Dear Tom and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. Sandy was the bright spot in everyone's day at Terrace Lodge. It was such a pleasure to work with her. Sandy always put the residents and staff first. She was kind, thoughtful and giving. We shared many a pet story and I remember how she had a soft spot for all animals and would adopt as many as she was able.
Blessings to you and your family.

Tom, Lisa and Rob: We were so saddened to hear of the loss of our dear Sandy. We enjoyed our visits - playing golf, eating Sandy's delicious meals and sampling wines. We had great nights on the deck laughing and talking for hours with her and Tom, while in between, Sandy would be in the barn feeding the horses, cats and dogs. She even had a turtle, goldfish in the pond and parrots!!
Jeff fondly remembers Sandy from a very young age (when they were 4-5 years old). She would come to the Soo almost every year with her mother Madeline and later with Aunt Lou and Uncle Joe. Garden Lake at her Mom's camp, catching bugs, fishing in the creek behind our house and all the fun summer things kids do, stand out. Jeff loved her like a sister and missed her once these childhood visits stopped. Thankfully, we reconnected about 5 years through Barb Wavrychuk Cudmore!! We were always planning our next visits (once the menagerie of animals was thinned out!)
Jeff will never forget the great times he had in the early years and we both cherish the later years with her and Tom.
Hugs and prayers to all.
Jeff and Cindy

My dad had a special place in his heart for Sandy... I remember she was a loved cousin of the Cudmore clan.. Much excitement in the air when we got to see her... I especially remember visiting her home when I was younger and hanging out with Lisa... It wasn't long before we were covered in mud playing in the pond by their house.. We showed up at the door covered head to toe after flinging mud pies at each other.. Sandy was was pretty cool about it regardless of the awful mess we both were.. . I am glad I had the chance to talk to her last summer but sad i never got to see her again... My deepest condolences Tom Lisa and Robert... She was our lovely cousin Sandy and gone to soon... Love and prayers. Jennifer Cudmore & Sean Lever

When I was young, growing up in Sault Ste Marie Sandy was older than me and lived In Hamilton. We rarely saw each other but still she was a favourite cousin. We lost touch for over forty years but were able to reconnect several years ago. Via email we became closer than we ever were before. I shall miss our almost daily conversations To Tom, Lisa and Robb I offer my heart felt sympathy for your loss. It was to soon and sudden. Bart Cudmore
