Obituary of Betty Kraan

Kraan, Elizabeth “Betty” of Heritage Place, Aylmer passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, March 20, 2020 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Ed Kraan(2010). Dear mother of Robert and wife Alice of Aylmer, Shelley Prong of Port Stanley and Marcella Nicotera and husband Peter of London. Loving grandmother of Danielle, Amanda(Brad), Robbie, Amber(Josh), Michelle(Adon), Michael, David, Lauren(Dylan) and Kyara. Sister of Henny Roelofsen and Ella Kraan of the Netherlands. Also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Juanita Masuda, son-in-law Randy Masuda and grandchildren Kendall and Dominique. Betty came to Canada in 1956. She was a Registered Nurse and a faithful member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. Betty and her husband Ed operated “Ed Kraan’s Bakery” and were well known for excellent baked goods. Her greatest joys were her family, friends and traveling. She was born in Argentina on July 6, 1927, daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Goebel) Kraan. A private family funeral will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer at a later date with interment at the Aylmer Cemetery.
