Obituary of Kay Guttman
Guttman, Kathleen “Kay” of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 91. Her funeral service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday March 14, 2020 at 1pm. Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday March 13, 2020 from 2-4pm.
Kay was born May 18, 1928 in Sclater, Manitoba to the late Jessie Grochoski (1984) and Paul Reszitnyk (1985). She was married to her devoted husband and best friend, the late Don Guttman (2012), for 60 years. Kay and Don enjoyed their winters in the south after retirement for 23 years. They travelled Europe, the Caribbean and lived from coast to coast in Canada. She enjoyed working with several charities. She helped to start three Lutheran mission churches and was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Aylmer. She was a member of the Aylmer Curling Club for many years. Her favorite hobbies where knitting, curling, golfing, bridge and travel.
Kay was the oldest sibling of 10. She is survived by 2 siblings, Marion Gilbert of Dekalb, Illinois and Ann Dupley of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Predeceased by sisters Cassie and Jessica and brothers Alec, Edward, Michael, Harry and Raymond. Loved by her daughter Debbie from Aylmer and son Jeffrey and wife Valerie from Toronto, and her seven grandchildren Heather, Lee James, Aaron, Patrick, Deanna, Sable and Jacqueline and two great-grandchildren Saoirse and Roan.
