Obituary of Elfriede Hayes

Hayes, Elfriede of Aylmer passed away at Sakura House on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Colin Hayes(2017). Dear mother of Adrian Hayes(Jessie) of Newmarket. Elfriede adored her granddaughter, Caitlin. Sister-in-law to Alwine Meyer of Ottawa and the late Hans Meyer. Aunt to Annemarie Meyer of Ottawa. Survived by other relatives in Germany. Born in Danzig, West Prussia on July 27, 1936, daughter of the late Erich and Erna (Kriesel) Meyer. Elfriede was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church Women’s League. She was an early childhood educator and taught at the YMCA in Aylmer. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00am. Cremation to follow. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
