Obituary of Sonja Oslach
Oslach, Sonja Marie Paulette of Aylmer passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Arthur Oslach of 57 years. Loving mother of Sherry Lloyd of Simcoe and John Oslach(Becky) of Ancaster. Dear grandmother of Carlee Lloyd, Kristie Lloyd, Shiloh Oslach and Connor Oslach and great-grandmother of Sadie Oslach and Case Oslach. Sister of Erica Rambout and Roger Geldhof. Sister-in-law of Patty Geldhof and Paul Oslach(Lynne). Predeceased by brother Jack Geldhof and Oda Meseure. She will be missed by her cousins Mrs. Erna Taelman, Mrs. Antoinette Deleemans, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Platteeuw and many nieces and nephews. Born in Roeselare, Belgium November 5, 1944, daughter of the late Camiel and Odette (Cnochaert) Geldhof. Sonja and Arthur owned and operated Oslach Nursery in Simcoe for 25 years. She was active in the community. Sonja was a past president of the Vittoria Lioness Club, a past vice-president of the Vittoria and District Foundation, a Board member of the Aylmer and District Horticultural Society, treasurer of the Queen of Peace Cemetery, a member of the Women's Catholic League, a chairperson of “Communities in Bloom” Town of Aylmer and a co-founder of the North Shore Erie Amateur Astronomers. Sonja was a life member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #81. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with a Legion Tribute Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, Aylmer on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
