Hi Cheryl. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. I really have known Gary for so long thanks to his working at "PRU" as they say along with the co-operators work crew since I was mutual friends with some of that gang. I remember Gary fishing in the Gran River Bass derby as well as the "it happened once" the Manulife Classic Bass Derby. You could always count on Gary finding an 18 plus inch smallie on the grand river wherever he stepped into the water. I had the good fortune to enjoy many a golf round with Gary and his other friends. I have memories from the occasional fishing trips to Rice Lake as well as the regular fishing charters to lake Erie. One time at the Saugeen river, I slipped on some river gravel while standing in the rushing water and in came the cold waters filling up my hip waders. A big thanks to Gary who grabbed my hand to pull me to safety. I have some additional stories to share too. I will most certainly be at the memorial on Oct 6th. Thinking of you....

Cheryl & Family – my deepest sympathy to all of you.
I have so many good memories from my ‘Pru’ days with Gary. He was just a great guy. We were the last group of Pru people who shut down the place. Gary was our leader and made what should have been a sad time so much fun - team meetings on the patio, bingo games at lunch…and we had the best goodbye party at Boomers. I will miss my fellow Hab fan.

I sincerely send my love to you at this time of need. My heart is heavy and filled with sorrow. I am thankful that Gary's demise was not a long one and now he is pain free. We have shared so much of our lives over the years that I have difficulty separating family from friends in our growing. We will always be known as golf buddy's but truly you were as close to me as a brother. The golf was an excuse to be together and it will never be forgotten. When I very first met Gary some 36 years ago I appreciated how he listened with a real intense at any conversation that we would have. He listened well and responded quickly. I could go on and on but I would like to close in saying I hope he can play in heaven with Adam.

Cheryl and family, I’m so sorry for your loss of a wonderful husband, dad, and friend. My heart hurts with sorrow and grief.
I recall all the fun times playing baseball, football and golfing with Gary over so many years. Hard to believe we were in our 20’s when we met while working for Canada Trust. I also really enjoyed the recent lunches and discussions that Gary, Tim and I would have since you guys moved back to London.
Gary, you were a great friend and an inspiration to me. I will really miss you, but remember you always with the fondest of memories. Good bye my friend.

Gary, you were one of my best friends. I will always cherish all the time we spent watching Tiger winning all his major championships, watching the Steeler's and all the pub nights with Warren and other friends. We had so much fun with all the years of golfing together and I will really miss our chats, we would sit in my garage and talk for hours about golf, football, etc. I am so glad I had the opportunity to come down to London when you moved and got to see you and Cheryl and Paul, your new home, we had a really nice visit.
You were way too young for this to happen to you, I am really going to miss you buddy.
Rest in peace my friend.
