David was a very hard-working family man
I had the privilege of working with him for the last few years, as long as I’ve known him he never called in sick to work ,
I will definitely miss his goofiness,
He always had something to laugh about it,
taught me not to take life too serious
Rest in peace buddy
You’re suffering is over

Dave was an amazing person, husband and father to his children. He lit up every room he entered and put the positive vibes wherever he went.I have known Dave as a part of our family for many years.I was a small girl when he started dating my sister, after our mother passed he chose to often stay home with Sarah and us smaller children and enlighten our toughest days.
Then they married and never missed a single family get together,I anxiously waited for them to arrive each time.He was the life of every gathering. He brought such Joy to our family.
He showed us determination, perseverance and incredible strength during any hardship all the while being happy and humorous.
One thing I'll never forget is his advice saying Just be yourself. When one has left such an impact on so many,it would be an honor if I could even accomplish a quarter of what you tought us.
I will forever remember you and all the great times.Sleep peacefully Dave and never loose that beautiful smile!

I’ve have had the pleasure of knowing Dave for many years, He had a character that was unmistakable and unique to him, if he didn’t make you laugh it’s because you weren’t paying attention, and with his energy You weren’t likely to miss him.
Speaking of his energy, I have always been amazed with Dave, we used to work on a ginseng farm which could at times be very laborious and energy consuming, especially in the summer heat, yet somehow this guy would dance his way joking and laughing to his car at the end of our shift, it seemed as though the well of the energy he drew from was endless! :)
The transportation industry he entered later is one that is draining on family life as it demands so much of your time away from the family, this is one thing he refused to be consumed by at the expense of his family, he worked tirelessly balancing the two, ensuring regular home time, Achieving at work what is practically impossible while maintaining a healthy balance between work and family.
A strong character such as Dave’s will have different effects on different people, for a more accurate evaluation one must look to what he achieved, I for one as I’m sure with several others who know him stand amazed,
Dave I know you are still smiling and waving, you won’t be forgotten, the legacy you’ve left behind is solid and unmistakable as your character
You’ll be missed
Keep those trains rolling brotha one day we shall meet again!

I had the pleasure of knowing David in my childhood, we had a lot of fun and some great times growing up down the road from one another in Sarnia. A memory that sticks out to me was how we used to play cars on the school bus, and he had one that I always liked playing with. That year for my birthday, he gave it to me. I'm sure he didn't know how much that car meant to me, because I knew that he'd given me one of his prized possessions. I still have it somewhere, and when the time is right, I'll pass it on to one of my nephews and share David's lesson of selflessness with him. Unfortunately, as time passed, we lost touch, but his family will be in my prayers. Deepest condolences to all who knew him.
