Obituary of Rose Mudge
Mudge, Rosina "Rose" of Simcoe passed away at Norview Lodge on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Leon Mudge(2000). Dear mother of Fred Mudge(Sharon) of Turkey Point and Erika Sloan(David) of Courtice. Loving grandmother of Brett, Whitney(Steve), Derek(Jennifer), Devan(Justine), Jonathan(Jennine) and great-grandmother of Ethan, Owen, Fiona, Callum and Nora. Predeceased by her sister Mary Triebl. Born in Oberneudorf in Siebenburgen, Romania on May 20, 1927, daughter of the late John and Mary (Hesch) Poschner.
Rose and Leon started Rose-Le Studio in Simcoe in 1955 where it became the place to go for all photographic needs in Norfolk County and beyond. As a mother and successful business owner since her '20's, she was a wise and loving role model not only to her immediate and extended family, but also to younger women who were inspired by her example. Rose was a longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and her Christian faith was a very important part of her life. She had a special warmth about her that always made people feel appreciated wherever she was. She could remember everyone's name she met and was a very caring person. Rose was a beautiful person inside and out and always impeccably dressed. She was loved by everyone young and old.
The funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11:30 am with visitation from 10-11:30 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to the CNIB, Alzheimer Society of Haldimand Norfolk or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
