Obituary of Angela Sobry

Sobry, Angela Julia of Caressant Care, St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, January 11, 2019 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Sobry(2006). Dear mother of Robert and wife Madeline. Loving grandmother of Deb Howitt and husband John, Lori Kirby and husband Jim and great-grandmother to Sarah and Jayne Kirby, Quinn, Katie and Leah Howitt.  Born in Deloraine, Manitoba on December 21, 1921, daughter of the late Alois and Bertha (Minne) Dewulf.  Angela and Peter grew tobacco in Luton for many years. Angela was faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Catholic Women’s League where she dedicated much of her time to organizing church events including funeral lunches and volunteering at bazaars, turkey suppers and rummage sales. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 7-9pm and Catholic Women’s League prayers at 6:30pm. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.  Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
