Obituary of Gilbert Goddeeris

Goddeeris, Gilbert B. of Tillsonburg passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.  He was 93.  Predeceased by his first wife, Noella Goddeeris, 21 years ago.  Survived by children Derick Goddeeris and wife Dianne of Copenhagen, Grant Goddeeris and wife Jean of St. Thomas, Rita Goddeeris (late Harvey Kitchen) of Niagara Falls, Dennis Goddeeris and wife Joyce of Hanna, Alberta and Wayne Goddeeris and wife Shirley of Aylmer.  Loving papa to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Also survived by present wife, Jacqueline Callebert and extended family of Tillsonburg.  Born in Oostnieuwkerke, Belgium on December 2, 1924, son of the late Cyril and Valerie(Bloome) Goddeeris.  Gilbert grew tobacco for many years in Blenheim and Aylmer.  He was an avid fisherman and loved playing cards.  Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. for visitation.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  Cremation.  Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.  Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
