Obituary of Lavern Durdle

Durdle, Lavern of R.R.7, Aylmer(Kingsmill) passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.  He was 74. Beloved husband of Patricia(Spriggs) Durdle.  Dear father of Joe Durdle of St. Thomas, Steve Durdle (Kelly) of Aylmer, Ben Durdle (Terri) of Alberta, Duane Durdle (Melissa) of Alberta and the late Lorraine Durdle(1986). He will be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Brother of Edward, Glenn, Homer, Irma Jean, Pam and Emma. Brother-in-law of Rose Gall(Allan) Jim Spriggs and Jerry Spriggs. Predeceased by his brother John and sisters Loretta and Hazel.  Born on June 13, 1944, son of John and Dresda(Perry) Durdle. Lavern worked on the railroad and in later years, was a heavy equipment operator.  He helped to build the Bruce Nuclear Plant.  The funeral service will be held at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.  Cremation to follow.  Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.  Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
