Obituary of Floyd Harris
Harris, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2006. Floyd �Bus� Earl Harris of St. Thomas in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Rose Mary (McMillan) Harris. Loving father of Suzanne Overton and husband Richard of Strathroy, Victoria Conroy of London and Peter Harris of St. Thomas. Dear brother-in-law of Gord Abel, Ron Axtell and Florence McMillan. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 5 sisters Margaret Matthews, Velma Schouppe, Gladys Axtell, Leitta Abel and Helen Harris. Born in Delmer on September 21, 1920 son of the late Earl and Evaline (Esseltine) Harris. Floyd served overseas in WW II in the Royal Canadian Armour Corp. and in Alberta in the Princess Pat Louise Guards. He was a chicken farmer at Yarmouth Centre for many years and a member of the New Sarum Baptist Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2006 at 11:00 am.Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in the Delmer Cemetery.
