Obituary of Bob Reynaert
Reynaert, Robert Jules “Bob” of Aylmer passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, January 26, 2018 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Burnie (MacDowell) Reynaert. Loving father of Brian (Jennifer), Lynne Smith(Ron) and Greg(Carrie). Father-in-law of Mary. He will be missed by his grandchildren Lee(Tiffanie), Ashley, Kristen, Amanda, Jillian(Joel), Quentin, Kendall and great-grandchildren Archer and Alorah. Brother to Judy Dumez(late George). Predeceased by son David(1999) and brother Frank(2002)(Vera). Born in Malahide Township, Ontario on November 13, 1938, son of the late Jules and Martha Reynaert. Bob retired as Manager of the Ontario Flue Cured Tobacco Board. Upon retirement in 1996, Bob volunteered every Wednesday with the lunch program at Assumption School in Aylmer. He was dedicated to giving back to the community. He coached minor hockey and at late became President of AMHA, Southern Counties, Aylmer Hornets Sr. A. He will be remembered as the voice of the Aylmer Hornets and Spitfires Jr C. games as he announced many hockey games. He was 4th degree Knights of Columbus and a life-long member of the Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Mon 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Prayers Monday at 4p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church.
