Obituary of Dina Brower-Louer

Brower-Louer, Dina of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in her 100th year. Loving mother of Jack Brower and wife Barb of R.R.# 6, Aylmer, Ruby Dykxhoorn and husband Jack of R.R.# 4, Aylmer,  the late Robert Brower(1990), Ron Brower and wife Marilena of Aylmer and Linda Underhill and husband Randy of R.R.# 1 Port Burwell. Loved by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Janett Shelley and Amy Ankersmit and brother John Ankersmit. Born in The Netherlands on May 17, 1918, daughter of the late Johan and Antonia (Hoogakkr) Ankersmit. Dina came to Canada when she was nine. She spent her growing up years in Sparta. In 1936 she married Cornelius Brower and grew tobacco until 1957. They moved to Aylmer and kept boarders. Cornelius died in 1974. Dina remarried Arnold Louer and he passed away in 1992. Her later years were spent with her good friend Peter Geerts who passed in January, 2018. A private family service was held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home.
