Obituary of Peter Geerts

Geerts, Peter passed away at Valleyview Home St. Thomas on Monday, January 15, 2018 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Geerts and the late June Geerts. Dear friend of Dina Brower-Louer. Loving father of Chris Geerts (Geraldine), Cornelia Presant (Paul), Elsie Smith (Gerald), Marlene Berkelmans (Ron) and Janet Dunlop. Also survived by a brother Janus and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Johanne Van Gorp(2014), brothers Harry, Louis, Jan and sisters Joanne, Bets and Riet.  Born in Chaam, The Netherlands on November 18, 1922, son of the late Christianus and Cornelia (Kooyen) Geerts. Peter was a farmer near Avon for many years. In retirement, he enjoyed woodworking. Friends may call at the  H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
