Obituary of Jake Giesbrecht
Giesbrecht, Jacob “Jake” of Aylmer passed peacefully at home with his family beside him on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Julia (Willand) Card. Dear father of Dwayne(Anita), Ronald(Tracey), Kevin(Doreen), Mike, Keith(Carey), Travis(Crystal). Loving grandfather of Valerie, Tyler, Jessica, Meghan, DJ, Amber, Terri, Brian, Brandon, Megan, Dylan, Julianna, Katrina, Austin, Ryan, Owen and Ben. He will also be missed by 13 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary Peters(late John), Pete Giesbrecht(Helen), Kathy Friesen(Abe), Dave Giesbrecht(Leona), Isaac Giesbrecht(Eva), Nettie Thiessen(Henry), Annie Zacharias(Jake) and John Giesbrecht(Deb). Predeceased by a brother Abe. Born in Chihuahua Mexico on December 26, 1945 son of the late Peter and Aganetha Giesbrecht. Jake was a welder at GM in the Research and Development Division for 30 years. He was a wonderful handyman and mentor to many. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
