Obituary of Jim Vance

Vance, James William “Jim” of Pt. Burwell passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, November 20, 2017 in his 76th year.  Beloved husband of 56 years of Sharon (Rupert) Vance. Dear father of Karen Huber(Ken) of RR4, Aylmer, Tammy Lama(Andy) of Eden and Colleen Vance(Rod) of Pt. Burwell. Loving grandfather of Leigh-Anne(Greg), Kimberly(Adam), Anthony(Jessie) and Nicole. Great-grandfather of Claire, Lucas, Arlynn and Chase. Also survived by a sister Helen, a brother Bobby and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Connie(1965), a son Mark(1965), a sister Nancy, a brother Brian and a brother-in-law Alfred. Born in Windsor, Ontario on July 6, 1942, son of the late William and Lila (Gorman) Vance. Jim was a tobacco farmer and an avid deer hunter. Friends may call at the  H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  Cremation will follow. Family burial Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the London Health Science Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
