Obituary of Shirley Beatrice Demeter

Demeter, Shirley Beatrice of Aylmer and formerly of Brownsville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in her 92nd year.  Beloved wife of the late Henry Demeter(1996).  Dear Mother to Margaret White(late Bill) of Aylmer, Nancy Caverly(Don) of Aylmer, Jim Demeter(Joanne) of Brownsville, Rick Demeter(Judy) of Aylmer and Sheri Meginnis(Dale) of Aylmer.  Loved by her grandchildren Jennifer(Miguel), Jim(Sara), Luke(Kaley), Steve, Holly(Vince), Scott, Kalina(Ben), Brandon and Kory.  She will be missed by her great grandchildren Evan, Ellen, Isabella and Anthony.  Sister to Marilyn Smith(late Doug).  Also survived by a niece and nephew.   Born in Kingsmill, Ontario on May 30, 1926, daughter of the late Myron and Iva (West) Ashford.  Predeceased by her in-laws James and Margaret Demeter and a brother Ray Ashford.  Shirley was a 50 year member of the Catholic Women’s League.  Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 7-9pm  where the funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C.
