Obituary of Jean Hofstee

Hofstee, Jean (Park) of St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, September 17, 2017 in her 91st year.  Dear mother to Ron Park(Debbie) of Port Burwell, Norm Park(Candy) of Tillsonburg, Joan Klachan(Dave) of Port Stanley and Doug Park(Connie) of Vienna.  Loving Grandmother of Chris, Tania(Tiago), Laura, Conor, and step-grandmother to Gord(Danielle), Jenn(Neil).  She will be missed by her great-grandson Rafael and step-great granddaughter, Kendra.   Dear step-mother of John Hofstee (late Beatrix) of Guelph, Arie Hofstee (Jeanne) of St. Thomas, Jacob Jr Hofstee (Lori) of Kingston and predeceased by Tony(Anna) of St. Thomas and their children and grandchildren.  She will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins.  Predeceased by her husbands Bruce Park and Jake Hofstee.   Jean was a member of St. Paul’s United Church.  She formerly lived in Port Burwell, Aylmer and was an avid Blue Jays fan.  Born in Oxford County on September 22, 1926 to parents William and Alice(Money) Croxford; brothers Edwin Croxford, Fred Croxford and sisters Bessie Poole, Nellie Fisher, Vera Silcox, Doris Glover, Ivy Phelps and step-son Tony Hofstee.  Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at  1:30 pm.  Cremation to follow.  Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
