Obituary of Jean Babcock
Babcock, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Jean Babcock of Aylme and formery Dresden in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Ross Babcock and dear mother of Jim Babcock and fianceeĢ Terri Bishop of Gainesville Texas and Karen Driver and husband Paul of Aylmer. Loving grandmother of C.T. Babcock, Troy Babcock(Jamie), Matthew Driver(Tara Vantyghem) and Tiffany Driver. Great grandmother of Riley, Ryan, Lexy and Skylar. Sister of Bill, Barbara, Marion and Reg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Evelyn, Audrey, Marie and brothers George, John, Doug, Glen and Sam. Born in Wallaceburg Ontario on April 15, 1927 daughter of the late Bill and Winnifred (Smith) Foster. Jean worked for Pioneer Corn in Chatham. She wintered in Gainesville Texas. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held on on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment, Dresden Cemetery. Rev. John Lang, officiating. Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Oncology Dept. would be appreciated.
