George C. Scott of Aylmer in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Rutledge) Scott. Dear father of Margaret Huber and husband Bob of R.R.#2 Aylmer, George Scott and wife Ruby of R.R.# 5 Aylmer. Shirley Berto and husband Albino of Ingersoll, John Scott and Cathy of Kitchener and Cathy Minjauw and husband Marlo of Aylmer. Loved by grandchildren Philip (Myra), Kevin (Marsha) Jason (Bibi), Chelsea (Miles), Niki (Steve), Jenny (Jeff), Ashley (John), Vladmir, Daniella (Mark), Reuben, Melanie, Shawn (Michelle), Jenny (Shane), Michael (Mindy), Meaghan, Maranda, and Shanah. Also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Brother of Audrey Lounsbury, Helen Ellis and husband Ernest, Marion, Don Scott and wife Grace. Predeceased by a brother Ken. Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario on August 1, 1924 son of the late Arthur and Pearl (Singer) Scott. George was a veteran of W.W.II and served in the RCAF. He operated radar on Marble Island, Queen Charlotte B.C. He was an Aylmer police officer from 1950-1953 and for 33 years worked for Wallace Plumbing. He met Marjorie in the potato patch of Houghton Township in 1946 and they were married in 1950. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Monday July 4, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev Harold Scott, officiating.
