Vandierendonck, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on December 13, 2010. Loreen Elinor Vandierendonck of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer in her 82nd year. Beloved wife to Roger Albert Vandierendonck of 64 years. Loved mother of Richard Vandierendonck and wife Cathy of London, Gary Vandierendonck and partner Lucy of Ilderton and Marianne George and husband Rod of Port Stanley. Loving grandmother of David Vandierendonck, Marnie Vandierendonck and husband Paul Murphy, Peter Vandierendonck and wife Theresa, Maggie Hammond and husband Nick, Coleen Morris and husband Chris, Matt Fruin and Partner Adrielle, Anson George and great-grandmother of Avery, Anna, Amelia, Logan, Jacob, Isabelle, Maeve, Matthew, Ethan, Kyle, Carson and Kayla. Loved sister to Beverly Ann Dark Walker. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Malahide Township on July 22, 1929 daughter of the late Francis and Lena (McKibbin) Dark. Loreen was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church and a long standing member of the Catholic Women's League of which she served as President for 11 years. She was an outstanding member of the Elgin District Scouting Movement. Loreen was a Cubmaster and a Beaver leader for many years. She loved scouting as it was a great part of her life. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be held at 4 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11:30 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery. Father Gilbert Simard, officiating.
