Obituary of Donald Jenkins

Jenkins, suddenly at home at Monoak Farm Monday, October 18, 2010. Donald Ernest Jenkins of Belmont in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Leila (Smith) Jenkins. Dear father of Donna Ripley and husband Jack of West Lorne, Betty Butcher and husband Brent of Ayr, Gordon Jenkins and wife Ruth of Belmont and Charlie Jenkins and wife Betty Jane of Belmont. Predeceased by an infant son. Loved by his grand children Donald, Nicole (Eric), Jason (Jessica), Jeremy, Jenny (Wes), Maryanne (Paul), Scarlet, Quinton, Jessica, and Michael. Great grand father of Katie. Brother of Beatrice Matthews and husband Walter of Mapleton and the late Harold Jenkins. Born in South Dorchester Township, Ontario on September 11, 1928 son of the late James and Leda (Venning) Jenkins. Don farmed all his life. He was past president of the Elgin Holstein Club, an active member of Belmont United Church, a 4H leader, a two time Master Breeder of the Holstein Breeders Association of Canada, a past president of the Juniors Farmers of Elgin County, a former School Board Trustee and an active member of his community. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on 2-4 & 7-9 pm Wednesday where the funeral service will be held on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Interment, Delmer Cemetery. Rev.
